We are restaurant people, operators, marketers, and builders who got tired of seeing the same problem everywhere. Venues investing heavily in digital — while knowing almost nothing about the guests already sitting in front of them. That disconnect felt wrong. So we decided to fix it.
02 The Founding Trio
Three people. One frustration. One restaurant.
Viktoria spent years inside restaurants watching loyal regulars walk in, spend money, and leave without a trace. Rafik watched technology consistently fail to connect meaningfully with the guest experience. Andras brought 30 years of marketing expertise and a front-row view of how customer engagement was evolving. When the three got together, something clicked.

Everyone was obsessing over delivery apps, social feeds, and digital ads. Meanwhile, the most valuable customers walked in, sat down, ate, paid, and left completely anonymous. No name. No contact. No way to say thank you or invite them back. That became the core problem we set out to solve.

Tables full. Everyone on their phones. The answer was right there.
Guests were already connecting to venue WiFi everywhere they went. That behavior existed. What was missing was turning a basic internet connection into a digital handshake — one that starts a real relationship. What if WiFi could help venues remember their customers, understand what they like, and welcome them back like old friends?
05 Growing Pains
The first reaction? Polite skepticism.
Restaurant owners were already juggling kitchens, service, staffing, and a hundred other priorities. Another tech solution was the last thing they wanted. So we knew from day one that Affinect had to be genuinely easy. No complex setup. No manual work. No dedicated IT resource. Just results that made the pitch obvious in hindsight.
06 2024: Time to Scale
The concept was proven. The team needed to grow.
By early 2024, the idea had legs. But scaling required more hands — design, development, marketing, customer success. Affinect was no longer three people sharing a frustration. It was a real team building a real product for an industry that genuinely needed it.
